When Can the Cameras Be Used, and Can They Be Used When Other Groups Are Using the Court?
As a Venue Admin, it's essential to know when the cameras can be used:
- Scheduling: Basketball Associations or Glory League customers can only use the camera (to record and live stream) by scheduling a game through the association's competition management software or the Glory League admin area. They don't have access to the camera or footage at any other time.
- Restrictions: Glory League can restrict when games can be scheduled. For example, no recordings might be allowed during the working day or other designated times, ensuring recordings only occur when the Association is using the venue.
- Venue Input: Venues can inform the Association and Glory League about times when recordings cannot be scheduled. In some cases, the cameras can be powered down when not in use by the Association.
How Secure is the Camera Feed and/or the Data Storage?
- Data Storage: All Glory League content and data are stored and served from AWS in Sydney, Australia, known for its robust cloud security measures.
- Temporary Storage: Glory League’s onsite server temporarily stores games before they are uploaded to AWS.
- Privacy and Security: AWS uses strong safeguards to protect privacy, with all data stored in highly secure AWS data centres.
Who Owns the Footage?
- Both the Association and Glory League own the rights to the footage.
- Users/players have full rights to access and use any footage of their own personal games.
Is Glory League Considered Surveillance Equipment?
- No. Glory League is solely used to provide a video engagement system, recording only during scheduled games.
How Does Glory League Ensure That the System Will Not Be Used to Record Other Use of the Facility?
- Recording Control: Basketball Associations can only record footage by scheduling a game.
- Scheduling Blocks: If requested by a venue, Glory League can block game scheduling at certain times of the day.
- Access Restrictions: Associations cannot view or record video footage outside their scheduled games.
- Maintenance Access: Glory League only accesses the equipment/camera for fixes or upgrades, which is rare. When accessed by a technician, an alert is sent to Glory League Management, and the venue can be notified. The venue can also agree on timing for maintenance work.
- Access Logs: Weekly access log reports are available for venues to monitor recordings.
